APPEALS
The aim of the Spring Appeal for Anglican Overseas Aid was to connect the biblical notion of justice – often symbolised by life-giving water – with the reality that justice for people in developing communities means realising their fundamental right to clean water, sanitation and hygiene.
The imagery was to be kept simple and incorporate the hands-motif as a continuation of the client’s branding. I chose to focus on the sense of abundance that the words “Let justice roll down” suggest, and bring life to the illustration through using a watercolour texture.
For their End of Year Financial Appeal, Anglican Overseas Aid was after simple imagery that spoke to their general development work through the theme of God’s kingdom on earth. Peace, as represented by the dove, is a significant feature of this way of life. The hands-motif and watercolour texture were incorporated as a continuation of the client’s branding.

For their Christmas Appeal, Anglican Overseas Aid was after imagery that both spoke to their partner’s maternal and child health program in Kenya, as well as the annoucement of the angels at the first Christmas. The scope of the project included website and social media banners, ten print ads, a thank you card and the brochure, as seen below.
