The Maranatha Health 2018 Gala Dinner marked ten years since the organisation’s inception so the imagery was to have celebratory feel. Maranatha Health had done some amazing work and overcome significant challenges in that time, so the theme “Achieving the impossible” was chosen. I illustrated this by depicting an elephant in a tiny boat, staying afloat in rough waves, which also met their brief for “whimsy”.

The brief for the 2017 Maranatha Health Gala Dinner artwork (below) was to convey an air of class, in keeping with a black tie event, yet also present a distinct African flavour, along with colour and vivacity.
